Multiple Revenue Streams
|
 |
Renaissance ClubSport offers several revenue streams from both the hotel and club operations. Office parks and mixed-use developments can enhance their environment and earnings from club members paying monthly fees, visiting the spa and store, and treating guests to meals and lodging.
Approximately 40% of Renaissance ClubSport, Walnut Creek memberships are corporate, allowing businesses to:
- Provide out-of-town associates with meals, rooms, exercise facilities on a grand scale
- Host luncheons and corporate events
- Offer employees memberships and services as benefits or awards
The fitness membership provides ongoing revenue streams. For example, the Renaissance ClubSport, Walnut Creek pre-sold nearly 1,700 memberships before its 2002 opening, jump-starting cash flow.
-
4,200 club memberships (approximately 9,000 people) generate $7 million - $10 million in revenue
-
Club revenue stream is equal to rooms revenue, both providing very strong profit margins
-
The club's monthly membership fees provide consistent, dependable cash flow

Synergy — the union of distinctive elements that combine to deliver an exceptional result. Such is the undeniable appeal of Renaissance ClubSport, the innovative brand extension of Renaissance Hotels & Resorts that enables powerful economies of scale by fully integrating a lifestyle-focused hotel and an upscale sports club.
Incorporating the two elements into one cohesive structure allows development costs to be trimmed approximately 15 percent* through efficient land use. Common space, like parking facilities, lobbies and food & beverage outlets are shared. Even “back-of-the-house” space is a collective arrangement, further driving construction and operating savings.
