Muir Woods National Monument
Plan your visit to Muir Woods National Monument and explore the Redwood Forest. Immerse yourself in nature from trees that range from 400 to 800 years old with heights up to 250 feet. Walk the flat easy trails that loop around the park or challenge yourself with an adventurous hike. It is strongly recommended taking public transportation to Muir Woods during the peak spring and summer seasons. Entrance fee is $15 (free for children ages 15 and under) and reservations are required.

The Marin Country Mart is an unanchored, open-air, modern village in Larkspur Landing. The mart features independent shops, artisanal organic eateries, and family-friendly events year round.
The mart is located between the Larkspur Ferry Terminal and the new SMART Train Station. This dog-friendly mart has complimentary parking and is home to a number of boutiques, fitness facilities, eateries, and shopping that the whole family will enjoy.

Muir Woods National Monument: Walk among old growth coast redwoods, cooling their roots in the fresh water of Redwood Creek and lifting their crowns to reach the sun and fog. Federally protected as a National Monument since 1908, this primeval forest is both refuge and laboratory, revealing our relationship with the living landscape.
Mount Tamalpais State Park: Just north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Tamalpais State Park rises majestically from the heart of Marin County. The park offers superlative hiking, picnicking, wildlife watching. Up top, on most weekends volunteers at the East Peak Visitor Center provide information, sell merchandise and snacks.
