About The Rum Vault
Elegant Hotels’ prestigious Colony Club, situated on Barbados’ Platinum West Coast, launched the island’s first Rum Vault in October 2018 in celebration of the resort’s 70th Anniversary.
The Rum Vault is the first of its kind on the island of Barbados, featuring a collection of 150 rums from all over the world including Barbados, highly considered to be the birthplace of rum, Jamaica, St. Lucia and other neighbouring Caribbean islands, South and Central
America as well as international destinations such as Mauritius, Fiji and Japan.
Our Rum Ambassadors will delight with their extensive knowledge, mixology skills and vibrant personalities. Colony Club’s Executive Chef Wayne Maynard dons a new role as the Vault Chef preparing exquisite dishes influenced by local flavours and ingredients. A tempting and fun range of special events and activities suited to all levels of rum aficionados – from the curious to the connoisseur – are held in the Vault weekly including rum and chocolate pairings, signature tasting flights and intimate rum pairing dinners.
The Rum Vault is also great for celebrations including birthdays, anniversaries and wedding receptions as well as intimate business meetings and corporate team building events.

Surrounded by 150 rums from all over the world, our signature Storied Rum Dinner is an intimate and unique dining experience. Our knowledgeable Rum Ambassadors regale you with the storied history of some of the world’s finest rums over an exquisite four-course menu prepared by the Vault Chef, 3 paired rum cocktails made live in the Vault and a fantastic end to the evening with our one-of-akind Rum and Chocolate flight.
