Solana Beach is a coastal weekend destination in California. True to its name, the city offers many opportunities for fun in the sun and a chance to get away by relaxing on one of its beaches. It is also within a short driving distance from San Diego. There are some great spots here to try surfing and stand up paddle boarding for the first time, such as Del Mar Shores, Fletcher Cove, and Tide Beach.
