Promoting Diverse Hotel Ownership
By 2025, Marriott aims to achieve 3,000 diverse- or women-owned hotels in the U.S. and Canada. At year-end 2022, there were more than 1,800 open diverse- or women-owned hotels and nearly 940 diverse- or women-owned hotels in the pipeline in the U.S. and Canada.

Marriott’s Bridging the Gap
“Marriott’s Bridging The Gap,” is a multiyear development program that addresses barriers to entry that historically underrepresented hotel owners and developers face. Marriott allocated $50 million to offer financial and other incentives to underrepresented owners and franchisees with a controlling equity interest in select branded projects.
