Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy™ (the “Programme”) is a comprehensive online travel booking programme that combines the extraordinary experiences, benefits and rewards that are only available through Marriott Bonvoy’s® award winning travel programme and portfolio of extraordinary hotel brands.
The global Programme enables small to medium-sized businesses (“SMB”) to book Marriott Bonvoy (“Marriott”) hotels at a discounted rate (“SMB Rate”), as well as flights, rail, and rental cars, within one easy-to-use multilingual tool. Additional features include support for critical business needs, such as expense management and access to live travel data.
Does my company qualify for this Programme?
If your company employs frequent travellers that travel across multiple locations, and you are looking for an easy-to-use, self-service travel platform, your company will likely be a good fit for the Programme. The Programme is initially available to SMEs located in the US, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Caribbean and Latin America with additional regions to follow. How can the Programme help my company achieve its travel goals?
The Programme is designed to make it easy for SMBs to manage their business travel. For travel administrators or other professionals responsible for managing travel on behalf of their organisation, the Programme contains a number of features to help them easily onboard individual travellers, set travel policies, access and review live travel data, and track spend.
How can my company’s travellers participate in the Programme?
Once an SMB is approved, the travel administrator can invite employees (“Travellers”) to the Programme. Travellers will benefit from:
• SMB Rate and Marriott Bonvoy rewards and benefits
• An online booking tool with access to flight, rail, car, and Marriott hotels, all within one integrated platform that adheres to the SMB’s travel policy
• Optional advanced features depending on region, such as expense management tools
Do Programme members have to be enrolled in Marriott Bonvoy to participate?
Yes, Programme members must be enrolled in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme to gain access to the Programme. What are the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty benefits for my company when using the Programme?
SMBs will receive Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status, which they can assign to individual Travellers upon reaching a certain number of annual Qualifying Nights (as defined in the Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions) booked via the Programme as follows:
• 1 Qualifying Night stayed – Gold Status (1)
• 100 Qualifying Nights stayed – Silver Status (1)
• 200 Qualifying Nights stayed – Silver Status (1)
• 300 Qualifying Nights stayed – Gold Status (1)
• 450 Qualifying Nights stayed – Gold Status (2x)
• 600 Qualifying Nights stayed – Platinum Status (2x)
Travellers who are granted an Elite Status are entitled to all of the benefits of that Elite Tier in accordance with the Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions.
May I still use my locally-negotiated rates if I am participating in the Programme?
Yes, if an SMB has a locally-negotiated rate directly with a hotel, that rate will remain unchanged at the individual hotel. However, these negotiated rates cannot be booked via the Programme booking tool and will not qualify for other Programme benefits.
Which Marriott brands are eligible to book through the Programme?
The Programme rate discount is available across Marriott’s portfolio of hotels excluding stays at hotels under the following brands: Design Hotels™, Marriott Executive Apartments®, Marriott Vacation Club®, Marriott Grand Residence Club®, Vistana Signature Network™, Vistana Residence Network, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club®, All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy®, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy® and MGM Resorts. Is there a cost to join the Programme?
There are no fees for a business to join and no costs for Travellers to book hotels via the Programme booking tool. Fees may be required for additional tools, services, and non-hotel reservations.
How long does it take to receive approval to access the Programme?
Applicants should receive a response to their completed Programme application within a few business days.
