We offer a range of e-bikes to rent in our in-house e-bike rental shop. During the Bavarian vacation periods and from July to October, we offer a guided e-mountain bike tour every Thursday. Enjoy the Spitzingsee from the water! Hire a SUP, pedal boat or rowing boat from the nearby boat hire and explore the lake from a different perspective. You also can go fishing at Spitzingsee. Pike, tench, bream, whitefish, eel and perch are the most common fish species. Our kitchen team will be happy to prepare the fish for you on request.
Our lake rarely reaches temperatures of more than 22° degrees in the summer months, offering the perfect way to cool down after a nice day high up in the mountains. Sun loungers and parasols await you on our own lakeside sunbathing lawn with bathing jetty. In your room you will find a spa bag with towels, bathrobes and slippers. You can buy drinks from the nearby SpitzingAlm or the AlpenSpa bistro.
The Krettenburg offers a challenging climb just an hour away from the hotel. At the summit, you'll find a 250-meter-wide rock formation with excellent rock quality, sunny and shaded sections, and a nearby inn for refreshment. Another sports climbing area at Taubenstein also offers demanding routes on the west face, accessible via a 5-10 minute gondola ride from the Taubenstein cable car.
Experience this cool and fast-paced outdoor attraction of the Alpenbahnen Spitzingsee – downhill fun for the whole family! With these mountain carts – a kind of go-cart for the mountains – you descend from the Stümpflingbahn mountain station over a route of about 3.5 km. The low centre of gravity and the wide wheelbase of the carts ensure high driving stability. You control the speed yourself via disc brakes.

Ski Area Spitzingsee-Tegernsee
Whether you're a pleasure skier, powder snow enthusiast, ski tourer, or snowboarder, the scenic Alpine ski area of Spitzingsee-Tegernsee boasts 10 lifts and 20 kilometers of slopes. Thanks to modern snowmaking facilities, skiing holidays in Germany become a true delight.
Whether classic or skating, at Spitzingsee and in the neighboring Bayrischzell, cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find plenty of opportunities to exert themselves.
On Thursdays and Fridays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, weather permitting, the Stümpflingbahn operates under floodlights. The slopes are freshly groomed for the evening, and floodlights illuminate the descent perfectly. Warm drinks and snacks are available at the Jagahütt´n at the top of Stümpfling or at the base camp at the valley station.
A special highlight for ski tourers, snowshoers, or splitboarders – all will find their share of excitement at Spitzingsee. In recent winters, traditional skiing operations around Taubenstein have ceased. This means off-piste adventures await, with ample space for extensive ski tours away from the slopes. Emphasis is placed on environmentally friendly ski touring.
Always a blast – sledding at Spitzingsee! Enjoy outdoor fun with friends or the entire family. After a brief break, it's a comfortable sled ride back down to the valley. A fantastic time for everyone.
